Our Take 

We LOVE the new La Sportiva Prodigio Pro so we thought we would let a couple of our staff give their feedback on La Sportiva’s new offering.

Cole:

The La Sportiva Prodigio Pro is like the love child of a mountain goat and a race car. It's fast, stable, and instills confidence in the wearer. No carbon plate here, just a supercritical midsole that’s bouncy on less technical trails and forest roads but stable enough to stop you from eating dirt, rock, snow, roots or whichever substrate your heart desires to embark on. The FriXion rubber outsole sticks to everything and instills confidence in the wearer… maybe even too much.  The Prodigio Pro features La Sportiva’s Power Wire mesh for a secure, comfortable fit with padded features to keep your foot snug without lace bite. The fitment features a narrower heel and a sock-like wrap around the upper well, providing some much-needed room in the forefoot, ideal for longer trail running events. Whether you're seeking steep climbs or bombing descents, the Prodigio Pro makes for a fast, fun, primo ride. It’s versatile, durable, and designed for performance.

Stephanie:

I finally broke down and bought a pair of the Prodigio Pros and LOVE them. Straight up am going to take them home to meet mom and dad and probably propose marriage to them in the near future. They are so freaking fun to run in. Stupidly stable, ideal (at least for me) blend of cushioning, stiffness and pop which I haven’t really felt in a trail shoe before. I’ll make sure to send you guys an invite to the wedding.
